Juliette Becking
(She/her)

is a clinical psychologist/psychotherapist and the founder of EFTiN, the Emotion Focused Therapy institute Netherlands. She started this institute in 2019, because she felt the next step for her was to focus entirely on dissemination of Emotion Focused Therapy in the Netherlands and around the world. Having been an Personcentered Experiential psychotherapist and trainer for decades, she started her EFT-training with Robert Elliott and Jeanne Watson around 2008. Totally caught by EFT she knew this was what she wanted to master, train, and spread. So, after intense training and supervision by the EFT originators she became an international EFT-trainer herself. Juliette was nominated as isEFT Board member in 2017.

Founder and Head of Institute

Simran Chatha (She/her)

is a clinical psychologist passionate about facilitating emotional change and fostering congruence in individuals and couple relationships. Her journey with Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) began in 2018 when she trained under Dr. Les Greenberg and immediately connected with the approach. She is a certified EFT therapist and a Supervisor-in-Training. Dedicated to making EFT more accessible in India, Simran founded the EFT India Network in 2023 to build a supportive community of emotion-focused therapists. In 2024, with the guidance of her mentors, Robert and Juliette, she established the Emotion-Focused Therapy Institute India (EFTii) to expand EFT training and practice across the country. During a year of research supervision with Dr. Robert Elliott, Simran developed a strong interest in qualitative research, which led her to pursue a PhD at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. Her research examines empathy blocks as a key interfering process in psychotherapy practice and training.
